Phil Evans is a multidisciplinary Irish artist based in Copenhagen, working across film, animation, and visual art. Rooted in analogue processes, his practice emphasizes texture, spontaneity, and the handmade.

Phil discovered skateboarding in the small town of Bray and quickly learned that his skills lay firmly behind the camera — thus began his long journey of filmmaking and storytelling.

Coming from a background of painting and skate videos, Phil’s unique animation style is a fusion of traditional hand-drawn techniques and modern digital tools, allowing him to create visually rich, textured work that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.

His work has been recognized as a Vimeo Staff pick winner four times and a Webby runner-up.
