Vergez manipulates live sound and light to create an Intermedia, audio/visual installation. He works with surveillance cameras, projection, mirrors, oscillators and contact microphones, creating an immersive, hallucinatory reflection and refraction experience. The mechanics of the set pieces combined with human interactions construct the improvised permutation of the work.
Documentation of a durational performance in collaboration with dancers Ana Mendez and Marcela Loayza will filter into the installation. The audience is invited to bring a light source to interact with the visuals of the piece. And select audience members will be given a souvenir to take home.

A Cuban-American visual and sound artist who creates hand-made collage works on paper and mixed media experiments and combines human and technological elements related to ideas surrounding an ever-evolving modern dystopian identity.
