The FAB x Digital Art Workshop supports local artists in expanding their digital art skills with a focus on projection mapping. Using software to “paint” with light, projection mapping reshapes spaces by casting images onto physical forms, inspired by chiaroscuro's interplay of light and shadow. Participants will gain both theoretical insights and technical skills in this immersive art form. This event is free with your RSVP & registration. Please review the full instructions below.

Objectives:

  • Explore the artistic intention behind projection mapping: how visuals and images enhance or transform space.
  • Introduce fundamentals of projection mapping, focusing on both hardware and software essentials.
  • Provide a consolidated guide with key insights for making informed decisions to create high-quality interactive experiences.

What to bring:

  • Laptop – Mac or PC, along with a charger
  • MadMapper Already downloaded and installed on your laptop
  • Assets – Extra assets are not required, but it’s helpful to have more than just stock images/videos handy

IMPORTANT: To attend the workshop, please send an email to art@yeswearemad.com with the subject “FAB Digital Art Program” and a brief description of why you are interested in the workshop. In addition to registering for your ticket above, you will also need email confirmation to officially secure your spot for the workshop.
This program is made possible with the support of Funding Arts Broward in collaboration with Mad Arts.
